After we showed you the concept version last month of the new ACURA ILX, Acura has unveiled the actual production form. Changes are subtle and expected: the smaller wheels, the loss of LED driving lights, and a general tone down of some creases. But it retains its slick and modern shape, completely obscuring the fact that this is really a extremely dressed up Civic. Where that separation occurs the most, is in the newly revealed interior – typical Acura: button festooned, but modern and clean. This is meant to be an introduction vehicle – an introduction to luxury, which from a marketing perspective makes a lot of sense in these dour economic times. It may or may not replace the TSX, but either way, it will make a mark. I predict a big future for this small sedan…
