For the 2013 model year, BMW has freshened up its flagship 7 Series sedan. And it remains a classic choice ( particularly for the well heeled gays of LA here ), the go to option for understated refinement and style. The changes here, are subtle, at least visually. The bulk of the refinements have been executed inside, where the technology laden interior dazzles with a full compliment of state of the art gizmos and gadgets. Foremost amount them, a new configurable dashboard gauge pod – like Jaguar’s fully digital screen – hardware gauges and needles are soooo 2012. It features sporty modes and “green” monitoring modes, and can do its best to imitate the classic BMW look and feel loyalist will be crying for. This system will also see its way to the 5 Series next year. The interior is also completely festooned with ambient LEDs – overhead, in the doors, the seat backs, and arm rests. Sounds like a rolling disco, but the effect whispers class. Outside the main change is the headlights, now featuring a full LED array, like the 6 Series. All in all, it remains beautifully, even artfully crafted. Sign me up. ( I am so gay )
